Privacy notice
This notice explains how RETORNA handles information when people visit this website or join and use a participating business's Wallet loyalty programme.
RETORNA · Switzerland · hello@retorna.ch
Who controls the information
The participating business controls how it uses its customers' information and the loyalty offer it provides. RETORNA operates the supporting service and may act as a processor for that business and as a controller for security, support and its own business operations. Ask the participating business for its own privacy details.
Information we process
- Membership information, such as first name and an optional email address.
- Programme records, including consent choices, join location, loyalty balances, rewards, referrals, visits and transaction attribution.
- Wallet information needed to issue and update a pass, including pass identifiers, device registrations and update status.
- Security and support information, such as request logs, error details and messages you send us.
We do not ask customers for a birth date, payment-card number or password when they join a loyalty programme.
Why we process it
We process information to provide the requested membership and Wallet service; perform the programme agreement; record consent and marketing choices; prevent duplicate or fraudulent activity; provide support; secure and improve the service; comply with law; and, only when separately chosen, deliver promotional Wallet offers.
Where information comes from
Information comes from the member, the participating business, use of the service and the Wallet platform selected by the member.
Recipients and international processing
Information is available only to the relevant participating business, authorised RETORNA operators and service providers needed to run the service. Cloudflare provides hosting and security. Apple or Google processes Wallet information when its platform is used. These providers may process information outside Switzerland; their contractual safeguards and applicable data-protection terms govern those transfers.
Retention
Active membership information is kept while the programme is used. When a membership is deleted, direct contact details are removed and the member is anonymised; limited transaction, consent, security and audit records may remain where needed for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling and legal obligations. Support messages and technical logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes.
Marketing and Wallet updates
Promotional Wallet offers require a separate optional choice. Service updates needed to issue, secure or refresh a pass are handled separately. You can withdraw from promotions at any time without ending the membership by following the data request instructions.
Children
RETORNA is not designed to profile children. A person who cannot lawfully consent to the processing in their country must join only with verifiable permission from a parent or guardian. Participating businesses must not deliberately enrol children without an appropriate lawful basis.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent or a portable copy. You may also complain to the competent data-protection authority. See how to make a request. We may need limited information to verify that the request concerns you.
